What to know about Dubrovnik Airport
- Runway
- The longest runway in Croatia. It accepts heavy long-range types without a payload penalty.
- Customs and border
- Croatia is in the Schengen area. Flights to and from non-Schengen states are handled as external border crossings in both directions.
- Seasonality
- Traffic is strongly seasonal. July and August carry the peak, and the airport is far quieter either side of it.
- Best for
- The default departure point for Dubrovnik, the Elaphiti islands and the southern Dalmatian coast.
Timing
Under two hours of flying in most categories. A morning meeting in Venice and an afternoon back on the coast is realistic.
Both ends are summer-heavy. The Venice end also carries event weeks that compress availability outside the usual season.
